Doucoura: The Sacred Pulse of Mali featuring Akoth Jumadi

Doucoura is a dynamic Malian trio led by master percussionist Djeli Mahamadou Kone, a griot born into a legendary musical lineage in Bamako, and who has spent over two decades touring the world with African music giants including Habib Koité and Toumani Diabaté. The trio will be joined by the Kenyan singer, Akoth Jumadi, an architect of ethereal folk sounds, to present music that bridges boundaries and cultures. This tight-knit acoustic trio blends traditional Malian instrumentation with fresh, contemporary energy, in a celebration of rhythm, heritage and innovation.
