Drawing from diverse experiences; from Ayrosh’s Folk Fusion Festival, to Wanjeri Gakuru’s work with Nairobi Litfest and Rewind, Remix, Reclaim Festival and Sheba Hirst’s contributions to NBO Film Festival — we will explore how cultural festivals amplify voices, strengthen creative industries and provide spaces for cultural exchange. We will also explore the impact of festivals, from the role of side programs such as masterclasses, workshops and industry talks, to the building of communities and networks that last well beyond the event.
