Industry Talks: Curating Festivals - Crafting Lineups & Experiences That Speak Volumes

Join us as we pull back the curtain on the artistry and strategy of festival curation. Drawing from diverse experiences; from Ayrosh’s Folk Fusion Festival, to Wanjeri Gakuru’s work with Nairobi Litfest and Rewind, Remix, Reclaim Festival and Sheba Hirst’s contributions to NBO Film Festival — we will explore how cultural festivals amplify voices, strengthen creative industries and provide spaces for cultural exchange. We will also explore the impact of festivals, from the role of side programs such as masterclasses, workshops and industry talks, to the building of communities and networks that last well beyond the event. The session will be moderated by Anyiko Owoko, with speakers Ayrosh, Wanjeri Gakuru, and Sheba Hirst.
