Mgeni (The Guest) treats hospitality as performance and the home as a stage for encounter. The film reflects on the delicate balance between intimacy and distance, kinship and strangeness, when we open our doors to others. Inspired by anthropology, sociology, and performance studies, the film traces how gestures of welcome—sharing food, offering a seat, giving space become choreographies of care and negotiation. Join us for an evening experience on 17th October, featuring the film screening alongside a physical exhibition.
