About

We're excited to welcome Mubba, a jazz bassist, songwriter, and composer from Tanzania, for a live performance this Wednesday. This event is part of the Goethe MobiArts program, initiated by the Goethe-Institut. The program enables artists from Sub-Saharan Africa to travel across the continent, engaging in exchange with local artistic scenes. It supports performing artists in storytelling, dance, music, slam poetry, and theatre, aiming to promote cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, provide access to new audiences and creative markets for African artists, support regional talent, and strengthen South-South cooperation. For the 2025 edition, four artists from different disciplines, regions, and linguistic backgrounds across the continent have been selected. Each artist will perform between July and November 2025 in 11 different countries where the Goethe-Institut is present: Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Ethiopia.
