The Iron Snake

Youth Theatre Kenya presents "The Iron Snake," an epic youth-led musical drama set at the turn of the 20th century in East Africa. The story follows two Maasai brothers, Lenana and Sendeyo, divided by vision, duty, and prophecy, amidst the colonial powers reshaping their land. Blending original music, powerful ritual, movement, and history, the production explores complexities of identity, leadership, land, resistance, and unity, prompting the audience to consider what to carry forward and what to leave behind.
